Star+ will be launching new original content in Latin America for subscribers. These regionally produced Originals will begin rolling out today, and will tackle themes relating to the popular culture of the region. These originals will feature a variety of genres, including drama, comedy, el no, Terapia alternativa, thriller, and more. Other content on the network includes The Last Man, a graphic novel by Brian K. Vaughan.
Initially, Star Plus will compete with Netflix, HBO Max, and Amazon Prime in Latin America. In the United States, Disney separated its content offering into several different services, including Hulu, ESPN Plus, and Disney+. In Europe, Star+ is referred to as Star, and it was thought that this would organically merge with Disney’s other platforms. However, its new name and branding made the transition to its own platform much easier.
The STAR+PLUS program is available statewide. To apply, visit the Your Texas Benefits website. Depending on the eligibility criteria, there may be a wait list of up to a year. As a result, current participants in Medicaid nursing homes are given priority over at-home applicants. Those in nursing homes can apply for STAR+PLUS through caseworkers. If a member is already in a nursing home, their caseworkers will be able to help them relocate.
